Wang Yue (Yue-Yue) – A two-year-old Chinese girl died on Friday October 21st after being run over by two different vehicles and completely ignored by passersbys as they walked past her lifeless body. Yue-Yue died of brain failure about a week after the terrible accident. The hospital that tried to save her life did everything possible but her injuries were just too severe and no treatment had any effect in saving her life.
The case has ignited public uproar and absolute outrage over what some called a moral numbness that has overtaken the Chinese people.

Surveillance video captured the hit-and-run on October 13th. A television station aired the video showing the Yue-Yue being ran over by a van, which then drives off leaving her to bleed on a narrow street. A woman then pulls the girl to the side of the street before her mother, a migrant worker, rushes by her daughter’s side.
Before an ambulance was called or any assistance rendered more than s dozen people passed right by her as she lay dying. They walked, rode bicycles, and the area was well lit so it’s not like they didn’t see her or anything… Both drivers who ran over the girl have been arrested. Internet users have flooded disgusted that people could pass right by and leave her for dead, The graphic footage from the security camera of the incident has went viral.
