The news we all dread to hear..
Human remains have been discovered in Denton County, Texas and they may belong to Kathleen Garza.
Authorities in southern Denton County began searching an area near State Highway 121 and Fish Hatchery Road around 3:30 p.m. today and found clothing, bones and hair. The Tarrant County medical examiner will determine the identity of the remains. Officers with Coppell and Lewisville, Texas police departments were searching the area after acting on information developed in the homicide investigation.
On April 16, Kathleen Garza – 49, never returned from a trip to the Market Street Shopping Center on North Denton Tap Road in Coppell. Her husband said she had gone to meet her friend Leroy Tellgren for coffee on the day that she disappeared. Police arrested Leroy Tellgren-75 on capital murder charges one week later. He remains in jail on a $1 million bond.
Investigators have said that blood evidence links Tellgren to Garza’s death. Investigators found Kathleen’s watch and two rings in Tellgren’s pocket and her purse was found in Tellgren’s truck, which had large sections of the seat cut out.
