Ervin Lupoe shot his wife and five young children earlier this week in their Los Angeles home before turning the gun on himself. Now new details are emerging.
Ervin Lupoe faxed a letter to Los Angeles television sation ABC before the suicide. Lupoe blamed his former employer, Kaiser Permanente’s West Los Angeles Medical Center, for the deaths. In the letter, he detailed his frustration for the recent firings of him and his wife.
According to Kaiser Permanente, Mr. and Mrs. Lupoe was fired for fraud. The Lupoes were fired a week ago.
The bodies of five children and two adults the children’s mother and father were found Tuesday in the home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Wilmington. Among the dead, authorities said, were an 8-year-old girl and two sets of twins — 5-year-old girls and 2-year-old boys.
The father and the three girls were found in one upstairs room of the home, the mother and twin boys in another, police said. Deputy Police Chief Kenneth Garner described the scene as one of the most grisly police have encountered.
