Missing

Five year old Jahessye Shockley went missing on October 11, 2011 in Glendale, Arizona. Police are desperately hunting for any clues that can lead to her whereabouts. Her grandmother Shirley Johnson is pleading for her safe return and is concerned that there is not enough news coverage. I have to agree and it is really quite sad actually.

Details:
Jahessye Shockely was last seen by her three older siblings around 5pm after their mother Jerice Hunter went to run errands. She is a young black female, 3ft 5in tall and was last seen wearing a plain white t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and pink sandals. Police believe Jahessye left out of the front door of her home in Glendale but have no idea of what happened after that. Jahessye’s mother left the siblings to babysit while she was gone. Investigators are not ruling anyone out at this time.

Glendale police Sgt. Brent Coombs told The Associated Press.

“If it was just her walking away, we would have found her by now. Obviously she’s not with us. Somebody knows something or somebody has interacted with her and put her in a place, and we just haven’t found her yet.”

Jahessye’s grandmother told The Arizona Republic on Sunday that Child Protective Services removed Jerice Hunter’s three other children from her home and put them in foster care. Jerice Hunter was convicted of corporal punishment in 2005 in California. Police have not implicated the family in Jahessye’s disappearance.
