James Bain exonerated

Imaging spending 35 years of your life in a prison cell for a crime you did not commit. That is what James Bain did. He was freed by DNA evidence. He was accused of raping a 9-yr-old boy. Under Florida law, he is now entitled to $US1.75 million in compensation – $50,000 for every year behind bars.

I am so happy for James and also his mother. There are too many innocent in prison. My son also spent 5 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit. People that are found to have lied and caused an innocent person to be found guilty should also have to pay some of the compensation. Enjoy the rest of your life James. Meggie
